Thanks to everyone for your prompt and excellent suggestions on Web
developers. I will begin sifting through these ASAP for my client. Great to
know there are some out there who we didn't know about.
Muchas gracias, everyone!

Subject: Your recommendations on a Web developer??
I'm sure this request sounds funny coming from a U.S. Internet alum, but
it's SO hard to find good help these days! :-)
One of my clients needs a top notch Web developer who is "the total
package." The person or persons must understand the business environment (no
head-in-the-clouds GenXers, please), have above average design skills and be
up on the Web development technologies that will provide the fastest page
loads without pretty gizmos like Shockwave, etc. ABOVE ALL, candidates must
be able to service the client's very reasonable expectations of
responsiveness and two-way communication in a timely and professional
manner.
This client is a dream to work for, thus I'm trying to identify his
counterpart in a developer. He has been in business here for years and
isn't a flash in the pan who will abandon the project at any point.
Local is good, if possible, but we will go out of market if need be for
better quality. Locally, we're already well versed on WebCentric and
MediaPulse. Does anyone know any other development companies or QUALITY
freelancers in this area or anywhere in the country that we should be
talking with? Any candidates should have an online portfolio and
references.
Thanks in advance to any of you who may know someone outstanding,
Alesa
