Forget the job title! Amazon.com is looking for talented, experienced PR
professionals to work with senior executives and management peers to execute
public relations strategies that support business objectives; use
well-developed media-relations skills in print, broadcast, and online media
to generate ideas and place stories with key media; participate in the
development of public relations plans and strategies; and execute the
necessary tactics to successfully achieve objectives. This position will
serve, as necessary, as a company spokesperson on appropriate company
topics; compose accurate, newsworthy, and well-written news releases and
other media materials on deadline; and assist outside public relations
agencies in the execution of Amazon.com programs. The ideal candidate will
have
6+ years of experience as a creative, successful marketing public relations
professional in the consumer product, retailing, publishing, or similar
entertainment industries.
Responsibilities will include promoting the world leader in online commerce
to
generate site visits and sales, positioning the company domestically and
internationally,
and helping to build a leading and enduring brand. Amazon.com seeks to be

Management experience and an M.B.A. or other advanced degree is a plus, but
