Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about offering a refund if
PR efforts result in no media coverage. Your feedback was an excellent
reality check and you offered valuable suggestions, such as having a base
rate plus per-placement bonuses/costs and clear wording in contracts about
coverage not being guaranteed.
For those who may not have understood my wording on "guarantee," I wasn't
meaning I would guarantee coverage, but simply offer a partial refund if no
coverage was earned. I decided against this on your advice.
