One of my colleagues forwarded the following information to me. Here is an opportunity for young Veterans currently in college, or Veterans who have graduated or served on Active Duty in the last two years. Although this is an unpaid internship, it would still be an excellent opportunity for young Veterans to gain hands-on experience in the White House, while allowing them to display their leadership abilities and potential.
Please spread the word about this internship before everyone takes off for the holidays. Perhaps some folks could use the seasonal holidays to write the essays, craft a resume, and gather the letters of recommendation.

Am I eligible to apply for a White House Internship? Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age on or before the first day of the internship, and meet at least one of the following criteria:
Ø Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution)
Ø Graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college, or university (two-to-four year institution) no more than two years before the first day of the internship
Ø A veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty, for any length of time, in the two years preceding the first day of the internship

The payment deadline is Dec 2nd. If VA has not made payment on your account you are still responsible for the balance. Please make payment arrangements with the bursar.
