Title: Graduate Student Topology and Geometry Conference
Dates: April 18 and 19, 2009
Place: University of Wisconsin - Madison

The conference will feature half-hour talks by graduate students and keynote 
lectures by John Baez (UC-Riverside) and Denis Auroux (MIT).  We welcome both 
expository talks and original research.

Please register and submit abstracts at http://math.wisc.edu/~gstgc/ . The 
deadline to be considered for funding is March 1.  We have a generous grant 
from the NSF and hope to fund a lot of participants.

If you send a submission from an e-mail address that is not subscribed to the geometry list then you will be sent an e-mail asking for confirmation. This feature is designed to thwart the hundreds of machine-generated spam that are sent to the list and would otherwise have to be manually blocked by the moderator.
