Ana, how do we send information that may be useful to add to the site?

Subject: [P2P] Internet2 presentations and a p2p resource

Per popular request, the presentations on p2p - from the apps. and network
engineering tracks at the last I2 meeting in Washington, DC) are up!
go to:
volnet.utk.edu/p2p

This small repository of p2p stuff started as a research effort
from a couple of my students and myself and before we knew it, we had
quite a bit of info. that we decided would be better contained on a web
site. Initially, we had intended to keep up with all the file sharing apps
(and of course, we had to give up, since they were springing -- they are
-- like rabbits...and we figured that yahoo was doing a better job at
keeping up with them...). We also started looking at companies doing
something with a p2p flavor and beyond mp3-sharing uses; we also
had to give up on our efforts to keep up with all of the companies that
have sprung since Nov. 00. I also had asked Brooke to keep an eye for
research/educational uses of p2p, so you'll also find an index on a few
very interesting projects on this. Last, but not least, we have put a
list of those articles and references that we have found most compelling
(and
again, those we have been able to keep up with).

Ideally, I'd like to continue updating this site and adding sections (for
example, like a section on university case studies or another one on
measurement/shaping tools and/or techniques), among other things. In the
meantime, in the main page, you will find a short list of sites that do
keep up...

anyway, any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. and let me
know if you have any questions --ana

[I do have to thank Melisa, who started this but has now left UT :-( and
Brooke, who keeps on finding new interesting stuff.]
