maybe one of our Canadian friends would care to comment?
The O'Reilly p2p conference (webcast currently at
http://www.technetcast.com/tnc_catalog.html?item_id=1167) has had security
as a big topic, among many *very* interesting ideas and issues around p2p.
also, count on me bringing lots of info on this very interesting
conference (current presentation: "A survival model for the entertainment
industry in the Napster-world"; does a p2p busines model for the media
industry exist?)

THE FUTURE OF P2P
The Napster decision obviously impacts much more than just
music swapping online since the underlying peer-2-peer
technology has many applications beyond music. Several
articles focus on the impact of the ruling on new P2P
applications, while the Ottawa Citizen reports that Canada's
security establishment is fretting over the security
implications of the technology.
